Delete your SpeedRide account

Ask us to delete your SpeedRide rider or driver account and the personal data linked to it.

Request account deletion

Use the phone number you sign in with, so we can find your account. Before deleting anything, we'll contact you on that number to confirm the request came from you.

What happens next

We confirm it's youWe contact you on the account's phone number within [3 working days].
Your account is closedYou're signed out on every device and can no longer book or receive trips.
Your data is deletedWe delete your personal data within 30 days of confirming, except the records listed under "What we keep".

What we delete

Your name, phone number, email and profile photo
Saved places and your sign-in for every device
Push notification tokens
Drivers: licence and vehicle registration photos and vehicle details, once the retention period below has passed

What we keep, and for how long

Trip records, fares and ride IDs: [3 years], for accounting, safety investigations and disputes. Your name is removed from them.
Records of safety reports and open disputes: until they're resolved, or longer where the law requires.
Driver verification records: [1 year] after closure, where the law requires.

Before you delete

Finish or cancel any trip in progress
Drivers: make sure any outstanding earnings have been paid out
Only want to stop notifications? Turn them off in your phone's settings instead.
